BLOOMSBURG-- Chris Tressler (Lewistown/Lewistown) slammed two home runs and drove in three runs to lead Bloomsburg University to a 10-6 win over East Stroudsburg and a split of its doubleheader on Saturday. East Stroudsburg won the opener by a score of 15-4.

In the nightcap with the score tied 5-5, Tressler hit a solo homer leading off the bottom of the fifth inning to put the Huskies in front 6-5. Then in a four-run sixth inning, Tressler capped the day's scoring with a towering, two-run homer to left to give the Huskies a 10-5 lead. The other big hit in that inning came from Preston Hitchcock (Laceyville/Wyalusing) who had a two-run double in front of Tressler's homer.

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, the Huskies put three runs on the board courtesy of three errors by the Warriors. Later, with the Huskies trailing 5-4, Matt Allen (Williamsport/South Williamsport) doubled leading off the home fifth and later came around to score on a single by Keenan McCann (Hanover Twp/Hanover Area) tying the game at 5-5 and setting up Tressler's go-ahead hit an inning later.

Mike Griggs (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) earned the win with Paul Culbertson (Downingtown/Downingtown West) getting the save.

In game one, the Huskies trailed 2-0 heading to the bottom of the third when Anthony Forman (Richboro/Council Rock South) led off with a single and later scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-1. Bloomsburg took a 4-2 lead with three runs in fourth inning. Rich Letts had an RBI single, while Forman drove in a run with a double and Hitchcock had an RBI ground out.

However, the Warriors rallied with five runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and six runs in the seventh to win by a 15-4 margin.

With the split the Huskies go to 10-27, 4-8 in the PSAC East, while East Stroudsburg is now 16-21, 5-7 in the PSAC East.
